Tom Morello joins Bruce Springsteen for Australian tour
Written by admin on January 17, 2013 – 6:22 pm -Tom Morello will stand in for Stevie Van Zandt on Bruce Springsteen’s forthcoming Australian tour dates. Stevie is unavailable because he is committed to filming for his successful television show “Lilyhammer”.
Morello first found success with Rage Against the Machine, before moving on to Audioslave, his solo act The Nightwatchman, and his latest group Street Sweeper Social Club. He is no stranger to the Springsteen set-up, having guested on stage with the Boss on a number of occasions, including at the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert, Hard Rock Calling 2012 in London, and recent shows in Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago. The guitarist also featured on a number of tracks on Springsteen’s latest album “Wrecking Ball”.
The Australian tour commences on March 14 and includes the following dates:

- 16 Mar – Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, Australia
- 18 Mar – Allphones Arena, Sydney, Australia
- 20 Mar – Allphones Arena, Sydney, Australia
- 24 Mar – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia
- 26 Mar – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia
- 27 Mar – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia
- 30 Mar – Hanging Rock, Macedon, Australia
- 31 Mar – Hanging Rock, Macedon, Australia.
Stevie will be back for the Oslo, Norway show on April 29.
