Tom Jones collaborates with Jack White
Written by admin on January 28, 2012 – 12:26 pm -Sir Tom Jones has collaborated with producer and former White Stripes frontman, Jack White, on what Third Man Records are describing as “two searing tracks full of dangerous swagger, blues braggadocio and those heartfelt soulful vocal stylings that have knocked em dead for generations.”
The two tracks are covers of Howlin’ Wolf’s “Evil” and Frankie Laine’s “Jezebel.” |
Jones is backed by an eight-piece band featuring Jack White, Patrick Keeler (The Raconteurs), Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket) and others. The recordings were made at Jack White’s studio at his home in Nashville.
The “Evil”/”Jezebel” single will be release on March 5 in the US/Canada and March 6 in the UK.
