The Zombies announce new album and tour
Written by admin on March 22, 2011 – 6:51 pm -The Zombies are to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a UK tour and the release of a new album titled “Breathe Out, Breathe In.”
The band formed in 1961 in St Albans, England, and are best known for their classic single “She’s Not There.” |
“Breathe Out, Breathe In” will be released on Red House Records on May 9 with the following track list:
- Breathe Out, Breathe In
- Any Other Way
- Play It For Real
- Shine On Sunshine
- Show Me The Way
- A Moment In Time
- Christmas For The Free
- Another Day
- I Do Believe
- Let It Go.
This is The Zombies’ first album of new material since “As Far as I Can See” in 2004.
The following dates are confirmed for The Zombies’ UK tour:
- Sat. May 14 – Frome Cheese & Grain
- Wed. May 18 – Liverpool Guild of Students Stanley Theatre
- Thu. May 19 – Bilston Robin 2
- Fri. May 20 – Leamington Spa Assembly
- Sat. May 21 – Market Harborough Leisure Centre
- Fri. May 27 – London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.

The Zombies’ current line-up includes original members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent on lead vocals and organ, respectively, as well as Rod’s cousin Jim Rodford (formerly of The Kinks) on bass, Jim’s son Steve Rodford on drums, and Tom Toomey on guitar.
