The Who to celebrate 50th anniversary with world tour
Written by admin on April 20, 2014 – 7:03 pm -Pete Townshend has told Billboard that The Who will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a world tour, which will kick off in the UK around Christmas.
Townshend is also hoping to record a new album with Roger Daltrey and is currently in the process of going through demos to identify material.
Ahead of the live shows, fans will be able to pick up “Quadrophenia – Live in London,” which features a show filmed at London’s Wembley Arena on July 8, 2013 during the band’s “Quadrophenia and More” tour. “Quadrophenia – Live in London” will be available in June in several formats, including CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and a deluxe box set.
