“Crossfire Hurricane” tells the story of the band’s journey from blues-obsessed teenagers in the early ’60s to rock royalty. The movie features fascinating historical footage, including extensive live performance material, news archives and period interviews. There are also contemporary commentaries by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and former Stones Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor.
The DVD and Blu-ray will include the following bonus features:
- “Live in Germany ’65”
- NME Poll Winners concert footage from 1964 and 1965
- a new interview with director Brett Morgen
- “The Sound and Music of Crossfire Hurricane”
- footage from The Arthur Haynes Show (1964)
- the “Crossfire Hurricane” theatrical trailer.
“Crossfire Hurricane” received its worldwide premiere at the London Film Festival in October 2012 and debuted in the US the following month at a HBO-hosted event at New York’s Ziegfeld Theatre.
