The Music of The Rolling Stones at Carnegie Hall
Written by admin on January 22, 2012 – 8:03 pm -Ronnie Spector, Steve Earle, Marianne Faithfull and the Black Crowes’ Rick Robinson are among the artists who will pay tribute to the Rolling Stones at a live show at Carnegie Hall on March 13.
Each artist appearing at “The Music of The Rolling Stones at Carnegie Hall” tribute will play a track from the Rolling Stones’ “Hot Rocks 1964-1971” album. |
This is the latest in a series of annual concerts to benefit music education programmes for underpriveleged young people. The following programmes will benefit from this year’s show:
- The American Symphony Orchestra Music Notes
- Church Street School of Music
- Young Audiences
- Music Unites
- FIKS (Fixing Instruments for Kids in Schools)
- The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation
- Midori and Friends
- The Center for Arts Education.
Other artists scheduled to perform include Rickie Lee Jones, Rosanne Cash, Marc Cohn, The Mountain Goats, TV on the Radio & Jovanotti, Glen Hansard, Peaches, Taj Mahal, Carolina Chocolate Drops and Jackie Greene.
