The Beatles: Rock Band hits stores

Developed and co-created with Apple Corps, The Beatles: Rock Band will allow players to join John, Paul, George, and Ringo onstage at legendary shows, behind closed doors in the recording studio, and in dreamscapes that bring their psychedelic imagery to life. Venues include The Ed Sullivan Theate, Shea Stadium, Budokan, Abbey Road Studio and Apple Corps Rooftop.
The familiar Rock Band elements of interactive play and full band capacity are present, as well as additions, such as vocal harmonies. There are also custom-built models of the instruments The Beatles played, including:
- John Lennon’s Rickenbacker 325 guitar
- Paul McCartney’s trademark Höfner bass
- George Harrison’s Gretsch Duo Jet guitar
- Ringo Starr’s drums with black oyster pearl finish and Ludwig-branded Beatles kick drum head.
Rolling Stone has called The Beatles: Rock Band ‘the most refined music video game ever’.
