The Beatles’ “Let It Be… Naked” debuts on iTunes with bonus content
Written by admin on April 3, 2013 – 1:07 pm -The Beatles’ “Let It Be…Naked” has made its debut on iTunes, almost ten years after it first appeared on CD.
“Let It Be…Naked” on iTunes includes bonus content in the form of 20 minutes of “studio banter” from the 1969 sessions. The download includes the original album art and liner notes from the 2003 release. You can also purchase or stream for free exclusive music videos for the “Naked” versions of “Get Back” and “Don’t Let Me Down”.
The November 2003 release of “Let It Be…Naked” was intended to reveal what the album would have sounded like without the orchestral overdubs of Phil Spector, some of which Paul McCartney is known to have been unhappy with. The decision was also made to replace “Dig It” and Maggie Mae” with “Don’t Let Me Down”. The result is considered closer to The Beatles’ vision for the original album.
