Song of the Week #64 – “Light My Fire”

“Light My Fire” was released on the Doors’ self-titled debut album in January 1967 and then three months later on single, backed with “The Crystal Ship.” |

Jim Morrison – 40th anniversary
Written by admin on July 3, 2011 – 8:30 am -Jim Morrison died forty years ago today in Paris, France aged just 27. Morrison had moved to Paris four months before with his girlfriend, Pamela Courson, after finishing work on the album “L.A. Woman.”
News of Morrison’s death was not made public until after he was buried several days later in Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris. Thousands are expected to gather at the cemetery today to pay tribute to Morrison.
