Rolling Stones 50th anniversary tour on for 2013
Written by admin on March 15, 2012 – 4:25 pm -The prospect of a 50th anniversary Rolling Stones tour this year seems to be over, but it now seems certain that the band will hit the road in 2013.
Richards told Rolling Stone that the 50th anniversary theme would still work for next year:
“The Stones always really considered ’63 to be 50 years, because Charlie [Watts] didn’t actually join until January. We look upon 2012 as sort of the year of conception, but the birth is next year.” |

Rolling Stones – Hampton Coliseum 1981 videos
Written by admin on February 14, 2012 – 9:47 pm -The Rolling Stones have added four videos from their December 18, 1981 show at the Hampton Coliseum to their Youtube channel. This is the first official release of these videos online.
The Hampton Coliseum show on December 18 was the penultimate gig of the Rolling Stones’ 1981 American tour, which promoted the band’s album “Tattoo You”. The show has become infamous for the moment in “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” where Keith Richards hits a fan with his Telecaster to prevent him getting to Mick Jagger. The incident takes place 1 min 14 secs into the “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” video.
