Johnny Cash 80th Birthday celebration
Written by admin on February 26, 2012 – 9:26 pm -Johnny Cash’s family gathered at his boyhood home in Dyess, Arkansas today to celebrate what would have been the late star’s 80th birthday. Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas on this day in 1932, the fourth of seven children.
This 80th birthday year is set to be a busy one for the Cash estate, with the restoration of the Dyess property, the opening of a museum in Nashville, and a number of promising record releases, including “Bootleg IV: The Soul of Truth” in April, and a comprehensive box set of his first 30 years of recorded output.
