Authentic Brands Group, LLC (ABG) has announced the acquisition of Elvis Presley Intellectual Property Assets from CORE Media Group. ABG will work in partnership with the Presley family and Joel Weinshanker, Chairman and Founder of National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA), to promote the legacy of Elvis Presley and run the Graceland operation.

Some of Elvis Presley’s finest hits will be showcased on ITV1 tonight during a 90-minute special titled “The Nation’s Favourite Elvis Song”.

The show features a countdown of the top 20 Elvis songs, as voted for by the British public. There will also be commentaries from Elvis’ ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, and daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and a number of high-profile fans of Elvis, including Michael Bublé, Sir Cliff Richard, Suzi Quatro, Michael Ball, Englebert Humperdink and Cerys Matthews.

SoundExchange is a performance rights organisation that collects royalties from more than 2,000 digital music services, including satellite radio, streaming television services, Internet radio stations, and Internet music sites such as Last.fm.

Elvis Presley’s Graceland has topped USA Today’s Best Iconic American Attraction list, as voted for by its readers. The public had four weeks to vote on 20 nominees, including attractions such as the Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore and the White House. Graceland amassed nearly half of all votes.
