Elvis and Nixon – 40 years on
Written by admin on December 21, 2010 – 9:13 am -Today is the 40th anniversary of one of the more bizarre incidents in rock ‘n’ roll history. The meeting was arranged in response to a handwritten letter that Elvis had delivered in person to the North West gate of the White House that morning. In the letter, Elvis expressed his desire to present a gift to the President and also to discuss the possibility of becoming a “Federal Agent at Large” in the war against drugs. |
