“Released: The Human Rights Concerts 1986-1998” – Six DVD box set
Written by admin on November 13, 2013 – 6:02 pm -Amnesty International has released a six-DVD box set of material from its Human Rights concerts of 1986-1998, featuring performances by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Lou Reed, Sting, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, and many more.
The set features nearly 17 hours of content, comprising over 12 hours of footage from four concerts, and close to five hours of bonus content.

Bruce Springsteen pays tribute to South American musicians
Written by admin on September 19, 2013 – 8:09 pm -The South American leg of Bruce Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball tour has featured some surprise covers of songs by South American artists who have inspired him.
“Manifiesto” – Bruce Springsteen
Springsteen opened the South American leg of his Wrecking Ball tour on September 12 with a gig in Santiago, Chile, during which he performed Victor Jara’s “Manifiesto”. Springsteen also paid tribute to Jara in Spanish, noting that the musician remains a great inspiration. Jara was a poet, singer-songwriter, and political activist who was murdered in 1973 after the socialist Chilean Government was overthrown by a military coup.

Springsteen tops Rolling Stone’s Greatest Live Act list
Written by admin on July 31, 2013 – 8:53 pm -Bruce Springsteen has been voted the Greatest Live Act working now by a panel of writers, industry figures and artists convened by Rolling Stone magazine.
To be eligible for the list, performers must have toured within the last five years and not announced their retirement.

“Springsteen & I” theatrical screenings
Written by admin on July 16, 2013 – 5:51 pm -“Springsteen & I” will debut in movie theatres around the world on July 22, 2013.
Described as “the ultimate collective filmmaking experience,” the movie documents the life and career of Bruce Springsteen through the eyes of his fans. The video submissions were gathered last year when producers put out a call for fans to send them “a wide variety of creative interpretations, captured in the most visually exciting way you can think of”.
