The Beach Boys – Live on the BBC
Written by admin on September 25, 2012 – 6:35 am -The Beach Boys performed a special gig for BBC Radio 2 last night at London’s Mermaid Theatre, ahead of their appearances at the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena later this week.
A replay of the show is available on the Radio 2 website until October 1. The gig begins around 18 minutes in and is preceded by Jo Whiley’s interview with the band.

The Beach Boys on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
Written by admin on May 8, 2012 – 4:10 pm -The reunited Beach Boys appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to promote their 50th anniversary tour and new album “That’s Why God Made The Radio”.
The group opened the show with a strong performance of their classic ballad “In My Room,” before Fallon interviewed Brian Wilson and Mike Love. This was followed by performances of the title track from the new album and the 1966 hit “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”.

Beach Boys planning reunion album
Written by admin on July 27, 2011 – 10:41 pm -Mike Love has told Billboard that the surviving members of the Beach Boys are planning to collaborate on a new album to mark the band’s 50th anniversary.
Love expects the project to be released in 2012. He told Billboard:
| “Where we are at right now is Brian (Wilson)’s written some songs, I’ve written some songs (and) we’re talking very seriously about getting together and co-writing and doing some new music together. He’s been doing his own touring, we’ve been doing ours and so we haven’t really been able to lock into that, but it looks like this fall we will. It just makes a lot of sense with a milestone such as 50 years to get together and do something.” |
