Streisand’s “Partners” certified Platinum
Written by admin on January 21, 2015 – 12:58 pm -The Recording Industry Association of America has certified Barbra Streisand’s album “Partners” as Platinum, with over 1,000,000 sold. “Partners” is Streisand’s 31st Platinum album, which is the most achieved by any female recording artist. She also has 53 Gold and 14 multi-Platinum albums.

The 2011 Grammy Hall of Fame inductees
Written by admin on December 10, 2010 – 10:13 am -The Beatles, Fats Domino, Otis Redding and Joan Baez are among the artists whose recordings will be entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2011.
The Grammy Hall of Fame Award was established by The Recording Academy’s National Trustees in 1973. The aim was to “honor recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old.” To date, 881 recordings have been inducted. |

Neil Young receives person of the year award
Written by admin on January 31, 2010 – 8:06 am -Neil Young became the 20th recipient of the MusiCares Person of the Year award on Friday night.
The Grammy Week event was held at Los Angeles Convention Center on 29 January, with more than 2,000 people in attendance. The host Jack Black was reportedly in hilarious form as he introduced a lineup of nearly 30 artists performing 20 Neil Young songs. |
