Solomon Burke – “Nothing’s Impossible”
Written by admin on April 16, 2010 – 8:45 am -Soul legend Solomon Burke has released his much-anticipated 70th birthday release “Nothing’s Impossible.”
The album was one of the final projects worked on by producer Willie Mitchell, who died on January 5, 2010. |
Burke spent five weeks at Mitchell’s Royal Studio in Memphis recording the album and has paid tribute to Mitchell’s role:
“If I could turn back the hands of time, I would freeze frame every second of it. It hurts so much to know I won’t get that chance again…You know when God’s in it, because everything works. No matter how hard you try for it not to work; it works. It was the last great shot (with Mitchell)…” |
“Nothing’s Impossible” is a fitting album title from an artist who continues to attract new fans worlwide and remains musically active and relevant at nearly 70 years of age and after a 50-year career.
