Rolling Stones reunite with Bill Wyman
Written by admin on January 4, 2011 – 11:55 pm -Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has reunited with the band in the studio to record a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Watching the River Flow.”
The song will appear on a tribute album to the Rolling Stones’ pianist and tour manager, Ian Stewart, who died 25 years ago. |
The tribute album is entitled “Boogie For Stu”, which takes its name from Led Zeppelin’s 1971 Stewart-led jam “Boogie with Stu.” Keith Richards plays on three tracks on the album, which is fronted by rock ‘n’ roll pianist Ben Waters. PJ Harvey and Jools Holland also appear.
“Boogie For Stu” will be released in March and proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation.
