Rolling Stones confirm tour of Australia and New Zealand
Written by admin on November 20, 2013 – 5:32 pm -The Rolling Stones will tour Australia and New Zealand next year, commencing with a gig at the redeveloped Adelaide Oval on March 22. This will be the first time that the Stones have played Australia since their “A Bigger Bang” gigs in 2006.
The band made a return to the stage in late 2012 in celebration of their 50th anniversary, and then embarked on the highly successful “50 & Counting Tour” this year, which included an appearance at Glastonbury and a return to Hyde Park in London.
Former member, Mick Taylor, will be a special guest for the Adelaide show.
Promoters, Fronting Touring and AEG Live, will announce full Australia/New Zealand tour details in the coming weeks.
Asian tour dates are also expected to be announced shortly.
The Rolling Stones’ “50 & Counting Tour” has been commemorated with the recent release of “The Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun – Hyde Park Live”. This is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and in deluxe editions. Further information is available via the links below:
