Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees for 2012

The final list of inductees will be announced in December after a ballot. |

- Donovan
- Eric B. & Rakim
- Guns ‘N Roses
- Heart
- Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
- Freddie King
- Laura Nyro
- Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Rufus with Chaka Khan
- The Small Faces/The Faces
- The Spinners
- Donna Summer
- War.
Acts are eligible for nomination if they have released their single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
The 27th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held in Cleveland on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Donovan, the Beastie Boys, Donna Summer and Laura Nyro were among last year’s nominees, but did not make the cut.
