Robin Gibb makes his classical debut with “The Titanic Requiem”
Written by admin on January 21, 2012 – 6:29 pm -Robin Gibb has collaborated with his son, RJ (Robin-John), on his debut classical album titled “The Titanic Requiem,” which marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
“The Titanic Requiem” features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Cliff Masterson), the RSVP Voices Choir, tenor Mario Frangoulis and British choirgirl Isabel Suckling. Robin Gibb also performs on “Don’t Cry Alone.” |
Gibb previously collaborated with his son on the song “Instant Love” which appeared in the 2009 independentshort film “Blood Type – The Search.” He has welcomed the chance to work with his son on the new project:
“It has been an incredible experience working with my son. There is a creative freedom and uninhibited state that comes from working with a family member.” |
Gibb has also credited the experience as helping him “on the road to recovery” during his recent ill health.
