Ringo Starr’s “Wings” single out now

“Wings” is taken from Ringo’s new album, “Ringo 2012,” which is out at the end of the month. |
“Wings” is a a remake of a track that appeared on Ringo’s 1977 album “Ringo The 4th.” The other remake on the album is “Step Lightly” from the 1973 album “Ringo.”
“Ringo 2012” also features five original songs and covers of Buddy Holly’s “Think It Over,” and the American folk song “Rock Island Line,” which was popularised in the ’50s by Lonnie Donegan. The five originals are all co-written by Ringo, with writing partners including Dave Stewart, Joe Walsh and Glenn Ballard.

“Ringo 2012” is released on January 31 in the US, January 24 in Canada and January 30 in the UK, and is available for pre-order now.
