Written by admin on June 27, 2010 – 11:36 pm -Ray Davies performed an emotional set at Glastonbury today, during which he paid tribute to Pete Quaife, who died on Wednesday, June 23. Quaife was the original bassist with the Kinks.
Davies said of Quaife “I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for him” and dedicated “See My Friends” to his former bandmate. |
Ray Davies has appeared several times at Glastonbury, including a headline performance in the Acoustic Tent last year. This year he appeared on the Pyramid Stage and gave a crowd-pleasing performance, backed by the Crouch End Festival Choir on such classics as “You Really Got Me” and “Days.”
