A 90-minute profile of record producer Sir George Martin will air on UK television on Monday.
“Produced by George Martin” charts the veteran producers 60-year career, including his early work on classical and comedy records, the Beatles years, and his varied post-Beatles activities with artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Peter Gabriel, Sting and Elton John. |
The documentary follows Martin at home with his family, and also includes contributions from Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Cilla Black, Michael Palin, Rolf Harris, Bernard Cribbins and others.
“Produced by George Martin” airs on BBC2 (England, Northern Ireland and Wales only) at 21:00 on Monday, 25th April. There are plans for the film to be transmitted in the USA in 2012.
