Pink Floyd remasters campaign
Written by admin on May 12, 2011 – 5:37 pm -| Pink Floyd and EMI Music have announced an impressive remasters campaign comprising standard and deluxe CD reissues, DVDs, Blu-rays and even iPhone apps.

The remastered albums are being presented as standard “Discovery” editions, but some will also be released as deluxe “Experience” editions with a bonus disc of related content, and as super deluxe “Immersion” CD/DVD/Blu-ray box sets.
The phase one releases on September 26 will comprise remastered versions of 14 albums, available individually or as a 16-disc box set which will come with a photo book. The 14 albums are:
- The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
- A Saucerful of Secrets
- Soundtrack from the Film More
- Ummagumma
- Atom Heart Mother
- Meddle
- Obscured by Clouds
- The Dark Side of the Moon
- Wish You Were Here
- Animals
- The Wall
- The Final Cut
- A Momentary Lapse of Reason
- The Division Bell.
“The Dark Side of the Moon” will also be available in “Experience” (2-disc), “Immersion” (6-disc) and vinyl editions.
The next set of releases will be on November 7, including “Experience” (2-disc) and “Immersion” (5-disc) editions of “Wish You Were Here,” both featuring bonus material from the band’s 1974 Wembley dates, including a 20-minute live version of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond.” A vinyl edition will also be available.
A single disc greatest hits package titled “A Foot In The Door – The Best Of Pink Floyd” is also scheduled for November 7.
If that’s not enough for you, February 27, 2012 will see the release of “Experience” (3-disc), “Immersion” (7-disc) and vinyl editions of “The Wall.”
