Phil Spector Presents The Philles Album Collection – 7 CD box set
Written by admin on September 11, 2011 – 7:40 pm -Fans of Phil Spector’s groundbreaking work on the Philles label will want to pick up the “Phil Spector Presents The Philles Album Collection” box set next month. The set contains six classic albums, originally released between 1962-64, and a bonus disc of Spector’s instrumental B-sides.
The remastered mono albums are packaged in mini-vinyl replica sleeves, which are housed in a deluxe box.

Also on the way is a 2-CD set titled “The Essential Phil Spector,” featuring 34 tracks spanning the years 1958 to 1969. The set commences with his first notable recording, the Teddy Bears’ “To Know Him Is to Love Him,” before moving on to Spector’s Brill Building productions of 1960-61 and then his most groundbreaking Philles period.
