Paul Simon to release 25th anniversary “Graceland” box set
Written by admin on October 12, 2011 – 7:38 pm -| Paul Simon has told Billboard that he is planning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his “Graceland” album with a deluxe box set and a tour that will reunite him with some of the artists he played with on the original Graceland tour in 1987.

Simon already reunited with the Ladysmith Black Mambazo vocal group for an intimate concert in South Africa earlier this year. Footage of this performance will be included in the Graceland box set as part of a documentary directed by Joe Berlinger. Commenting on the film, Simon said:
| “The documentary took me back to the artistic aspects and the political aspects of making Graceland and the controversy that surrounded it and how it was resolved, plus what remains of it and what we learn from it.” |
There’s no firm date for the release of the “Graceland” box set, but remastered, single disc editions of “Graceland,” “Hearts and Bones” and “The Rhythm of the Saints” will be released by Sony Legacy on October 24. They can be pre-ordered now from:
