The Who to celebrate 50th anniversary with world tour

Pete Townshend has told Billboard that The Who will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a world tour, which will kick off in the UK around Christmas.

Townshend is also hoping to record a new album with Roger Daltrey and is currently in the process of going through demos to identify material.

Ahead of the live shows, fans will be able to pick up “Quadrophenia – Live in London,” which features a show filmed at London’s Wembley Arena on July 8, 2013 during the band’s “Quadrophenia and More” tour. “Quadrophenia – Live in London” will be available in June in several formats, including CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and a deluxe box set.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2014

Nirvana, KISS, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday. The inductees were chosen by 700 voters from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and a public ballot.

Jackson Browne announces US tour

Jackson Browne has announced that he will be on the road for a solo acoustic tour of the US this summer, as well as two full band shows with John Fogerty guesting.

Playing guitar and piano, Jackson will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night.
