Blondie are celebrating their 40th anniversary with a double album titled “Blondie 4(0) Ever”. The release will comprise brand new recordings of the band’s biggest songs on “Deluxe Redux: Greatest Hits,” and a collection of new songs titled “Ghosts of Download”.

Director Baz Luhrmann is in negotiations to direct an Elvis biopic for Warner Bros, according to TheWrap.com. Luhrmann’s past directorial credits include “The Great Gatsby,” “Australia,” “Moulin Rouge!,” and “Romeo + Juliet”.

Kelly Marcel is reportedly on board to write the screenplay, which will not be based on pre-existing material. Marcel wrote the recent hit “Saving Mr. Banks,” and the forthcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

Ex-Eagle, Don Felder, has recorded a new version of the band’s classic hit “Hotel California” with Tommy Shaw of Styx and Kelly Hansen of Foreigner. The three are touring together in The Soundtrack of Summer tour, beginning May 14 in Wichita.
