The documentary film “Bruce Springsteen – High Hopes in South Africa” is available to view online for a limited time.

The documentary, shot in January 2014, features footage of Bruce’s first ever concerts in South Africa, as well as sound checks, press gatherings, and interviews with Little Steven, Tom Morello, and Bruce’s South African fans.

Neil Young recorded a cover of “Crazy” on The Tonight Show on Monday, which was then pressed on vinyl by Jack White while the show was still on air.

Young recorded the song in the refurbished 1947 vinyl recording booth that he recently recorded his “A Letter Home” album in.

The Jimi Hendrix biopic “All Is By My Side” receives its US premiere tonight (May 12) at the South by Southwest festival at Austin’s Paramount Theatre.

The title role is played by Outkast’s André 3000 (André Benjamin).

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings will celebrate Billy Joel’s 1987 Russian tour with the release of “A Matter of Trust – The Bridge to Russia” on May 19. “A Matter of Trust” will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, 2 CDs, and deluxe box sets feauturing the CDs and either a DVD or Blu-ray.

Chuck Berry will be awarded the Polar Music Prize at a ceremony in Stockholm on August 26. Berry and fellow recipient, US opera and theatre director Peter Sellars, will each receive £100,000 (~$169,000).

The Polar Music Prize was founded by ABBA manager Stig Anderson. It is regarded as the music world’s equivalent to the Nobel prize.
