Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” lyrics sell for $2M
Written by admin on June 25, 2014 – 4:26 pm -The working draft for the lyrics of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” has sold at auction for more than $2 million, setting a world record for a popular music manuscript.
The lyrics are written in pencil on four sheets of hotel stationery, and Dylan also decorated the sheets with various notes and doodles. The sale price was $2,045,000.

Gerry Goffin: 1939-2014

With his then wife, Carole King, Goffin penned some of the finest pop songs of the 1960s, including the Shirelles’ “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, Little Eva’s “Loco-Motion” and Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”.

Radio legend Casey Kasem dies aged 82
Written by admin on June 15, 2014 – 7:40 pm -American radio and television legend Casey Kasem died on Sunday (June 15) at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was 82.
Kasem was best known as the host of the “American Top 40” radio show which saw him count down the nation’s hits for nearly 35 years.
