Pink Floyd release “The Division Bell” box set ahead of new album “The Endless River”
Written by admin on July 6, 2014 – 3:26 pm -Pink Floyd’s recent 20th anniversary 7-disc reissue of “The Division Bell” will be followed-up in October with the release of a new album called “The Endless River”. The new album will be based on material worked on at the 1994 sessions that produced “The Division Bell”.
The news of the new album came via the Twitter account of Polly Samson, who is the partner of David Gilmour:

Elvis Presley’s “That’s All Right” – 60th anniversary
Written by admin on July 5, 2014 – 8:56 am -We are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the day that Elvis Presley recorded “That’s All Right” and kick-started one of the most remarkable careers in music history.
Elvis’ timeless reworking of the Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup blues song was recorded during a try out at Sam Phillips’ Sun Studio in Memphis, TN on July 5, 1954.

Willie Nelson’s “Band of Brothers” enters Billboard Hot 100 at #5
Written by admin on June 27, 2014 – 11:30 pm -Willie Nelson’s “Band of Brothers” has become the singer’s highest charting album in the US since “Always On Mind” in 1982. The singer’s first collection of newly penned songs since 1996’s “Spirit” album entered the Billboard 200 at #5 and also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart.
“Band of Brothers” is Nelson’s second Top 10 album in less than a year, following “To All The Girls,” which peaked at #9 in October 2013. The 14 tracks on “Band of Brothers” are all new recordings, nine of which are brand new compositions by the country legend and his producer Buddy Cannon.
