New Ozzy-fronted Black Sabbath album out in June
Written by admin on January 13, 2013 – 6:06 pm -Black Sabbath have announced a June release date for their new album “13,” which will be the first fronted by Ozzy Osbourne since 1978’s “Never Say Die!”.
The album will also feature original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Drumming duties will be taken by Brad Wilk from Rage Against the Machine, who replaces Bill Ward.
“13” was produced by Rick Rubin and recorded mainly in Los Angeles. It will be released on Vertigo (worldwide) and Vertigo/Republic in the U.S.
The band will likely preview tracks from the album on a tour of New Zealand, Australia and Japan. The following dates are confirmed for the tour:
- 20 April – Vector Arena, Auckland, New Zealand
- 22 April – Vector Arena, Auckland, New Zealand
- 25 April – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, Australia
- 27 April – All Phones Arena, Sydney, Australia
- 29 April – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia
- 1 May – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, Australia
- 4 May – Perth Arena, Perth, Australia
- 12 May – Ozzfest – Makuhair Messe, Tokyo, Japan.
