New Elvis exhibits in 2012
Written by admin on November 29, 2011 – 9:01 pm -Elvis Presley Enterprises has announced that three new exhibits will be opening at Graceland in 2012 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Elvis’ death.
The three new exhibits are:
Elvis on Tour Exhibit
Next year is the 40th anniversary of Elvis’ Golden Globe winning documentary “Elvis On Tour” which followed Elvis on and off stage during a multi-city tour. The exhibit, located at Graceland Crossing, will include artifacts from the movie, including Elvis’ stage clothing and rarely seen photos and video.
Most fans will also be hoping for a special edition “Elvis On Tour” Blu-ray/DVD release to mark the anniversary.
Elvis…Through His Daughter’s Eyes
This exhibit will explore Elvis’ relationship with his daughter Lisa Marie through family photos and home movies, and other artifacts relating to Lisa’s childhood.
The exhibit will form part of the VIP Tour and will open on February 1, which is Lisa Marie’s birthday.
ICON: The Influence of Elvis Presley Exhibit
This exhibit celebrates Elvis’ position as a music icon with artifacts borrowed from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the collections of leading musicians, such as Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Bono, James Brown, and many more.
The exhibit opens on March 1 at Sincerely Elvis.
