Neil Young writing memoir
Written by admin on September 20, 2011 – 9:02 pm -Neil Young has announced that he is writing a memoir titled “Waging Heavy Peace.” The book will be published by Blue Rider Press in autumn 2012.
Commenting on the writing process, Young said:
| “I felt like writing books fit me like a glove. I started and I just kept going. That’s the way my Daddy used to do it on his old Underwood up in the attic. He said, ‘Just keep writing, you never know what will turn up.'” |
Young’s father, Scott, was a journalist whose 1984 book “Neil and Me” explored his relationship with his famous son.
Blue Rider Press president, David Rosenthal, added:
| “This promises to be a revealing, intimate book that will provide the window into Neil’s life and career that fans and admirers have always wanted.” |
