“Music is GREAT” charity DVD celebrates British music
Written by admin on May 7, 2012 – 1:50 pm -A DVD compilation featuring some of the most iconic British live music acts will be released next week to kick-off the Music is GREAT Week. Profits will go to Save the Children.
Music is GREAT Week is a seven-day celebration of British music. The DVD includes live performances from 1973 to 2011 from some of the biggest names in British music, including David Bowie, The Who, Queen, Blur, Robbie Williams and Adele. Here’s the full line-up:
- David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust Hammersmith Odeon, 1973
- The Who – Won’t Get Fooled Again Shepperton Studios, 1978
- Queen – “Radio Gaga”, Wembley Stadium, 1986
- Orbital – “Chime”, Glastonbury Festival, 1994
- Pulp – “Common People”, Glastonbury Festival, 1995
- Spice Girls – “Wannabe/Who Do You Think You Are?”, BRIT Awards, 1997
- Radiohead – “Karma Police”, Glastonbury Festival, 1997
- Robbie Williams – “Let Me Entertain You”, Knebworth, 2003
- Muse – “Knights Of Cydonia”, Wembley Stadium, 2007
- George Michael – “Faith”, Earls Court, 2008
- Blur – “Tender”, Glastonbury Festival, 2009
- Adele – “Someone Like You”, BRIT Awards, 2011
- Coldplay – “Every Tear Is A Waterfall”, Glastonbury Festival, 2011
- Take That – “The Flood”, City of Manchester Stadium, 2011.
