Leading the auction is a selection of twenty-two furniture lots commissioned by Michael Jackson for his planned residence in Kent, England, during the “This Is It” concert series. The furniture was produced by Colombostile Artisans, who have supplied luxurious handmade Italian furnishings to countless embassies, palaces, historical homes and sumptuous hotels in every continent. Other Michael Jackson lots include:
- Signed “Beat It” Jacket (Est. $8,000/$12,000)
- Stage-worn sunglasses gifted to actor Corey Feldman (Est. $2,000/$4,000)
- Military jacket that Jackson wore when he married Debbie Rowe (Est. $6,000/$8,000)
- A white swarovski crystal glove (Est. $20,000/$30,000).
There are many Elvis Presley lots, including signed items, unused concert tickets, jewellery and Elvis-owned books. The highlight is Elvis Presley’s Martin D28 stage-played acoustic guitar (Est. $50,000/$70,000.)
Jimi Hendrix is also well represented, with vintage posters, handbills and tickets, and most impressively a Fender Stratocaster that he played on stage (Est. $150,000/$200,000).
