McCartney on McCartney – Eight-hour radio documentary
Written by admin on February 25, 2011 – 9:53 am -| The BBC is rebroadcasting its excellent radio documentary series on Paul McCartney, which first appeared on Radio 1 in 1989.
“McCartney on McCartney” features the ex-Beatle talking with DJ Mike Read about his formative years and his Beatles, Wings and solo careers. The series will be broadcast in eight parts on BBC Radio 6 from February 27 to March 6. |

3/8: 1965-1967 – The Beatles middle years
March 2
4/8: 1967-1970 – The latter days of The Beatles
March 3
5/8: 1970-1974 – The early solo years
March 4
6/8: 1974-1977 – Wings’ most successful period
March 5
7/8: 1978-1987 – McCartney in the 80s
March 6
8/8: 1988-1989 – “Flowers in the Dirt” and getting back on the road.
Each part runs for 60 minutes.
The episodes are each broadcast at an inconvenient 3:00am, but they will be available on the BBC Radio 6 website for seven days after broadcast.
