Wolfgang’s concert vault is a brilliant resource for music fans and this latest concert is well worth your time. It is The Who’s appearance at Tanglewood on July 7, 1970. The Who’s appearance was part of a series of concerts at Tanglewood put on by promoter Bill Graham in 1970. They headlined a bill that included It’s A Beautiful Day and Jethro Tull.
The concert features The Who at their most powerful, a year after the release of their critically acclaimed rock opera “Tommy” and just seven weeks after their blistering performance in Leeds, which was captured for the “Live at Leeds” album. | ![]() |
