Just got an alert from Crawdaddy.com to say that there is a great concert from The Who now being streamed over at Wolfgang’s Concert Vault.

Wolfgang’s concert vault is a brilliant resource for music fans and this latest concert is well worth your time. It is The Who’s appearance at Tanglewood on July 7, 1970. Tanglewood is a renowned classical music venue located in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The Who’s appearance was part of a series of concerts at Tanglewood put on by promoter Bill Graham in 1970. They headlined a bill that included It’s A Beautiful Day and Jethro Tull.

The concert features The Who at their most powerful, a year after the release of their critically acclaimed rock opera “Tommy” and just seven weeks after their blistering performance in Leeds, which was captured for the “Live at Leeds” album.

The Who performed the following tracks at Tanglewood:

  • Heaven And Hell
  • I Can’t Explain
  • Water
  • Young Man Blues
  • Christmas
  • The Acid Queen
  • Pinball Wizard
  • Do You Think It’s Alright?
  • Fiddle About
  • Tommy Can You Hear Me?
  • There’s A Doctor
  • Go To The Mirror
  • Smash The Mirror
  • Miracle Cure
  • I’m Free
  • Tommy’s Holiday Camp
  • We’re Not Gonna Take It
  • My Generation.

Listen to The Who at Tanglewood, July 7, 1970.

You will need to sign up to the Concert Vault to listen, but it is free.
