Listen to the Rolling Stones’ “Doom and Gloom”
Written by admin on October 12, 2012 – 8:46 am -The Rolling Stones’ “Doom and Gloom” is their first new recording for seven years. Was it worth waiting for? If you are hoping for a change of direction or new artistic statement from the band, the answer is no. If you want to hear a solid track with a strong rock beat, retro guitar hook and nicely delivered vocal from Jagger, the answer is yes. “Doom and Gloom” features the Stones doing what they do best.

The track was recorded in Paris in August and will feature on their “GRRR!” greatest hits collection, which is released next month.
“GRRR!” will be available in several formats including a couple of three-CD 50-track editions (the deluxe option also including a 36-page book, tour poster and postcard set), and a six-disc (five-CDs/7″ EP) super-deluxe edition. The latter features 80 tracks on the first four CDs, as well as a bonus CD that includes demos from 1963 and an EP of early BBC recordings. Complete tracklists are available via the links below.
