Liam Gallagher to make Beatles movie
Written by admin on May 7, 2010 – 7:52 am -Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher, is set to make a Beatles movie, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reports that Gallagher has purchased the movie rights to Richard DiLello’s 1972 memoir about working at the Beatles’ Apple called “The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider’s Diary of the Beatles, Their Million-Dollar Apple Empire, and Its Wild Rise and Fall.” |
DiLello was a self-proclaimed “house hippie” at Apple, dealing with the Beatles and their associates on a daily basis. His memoir reported on personal and business problems that were to drive The Beatles apart.
Details are sketchy at present, with no director or cast mentioned, and no screenplay written. Further information is expected when Liam Gallagher and his partners at Revolution Films officially launch the project during the Cannes Film Festival next week.
DiLello’s book is available from Amazon (US) and Amazon (UK):
