Lenny Kravitz pulls out of Marvin Gaye biopic
Written by admin on March 5, 2013 – 9:32 pm -Lenny Kravitz is no longer going to play Marvin Gaye in the biopic “Sexual Healing”. Deadline Hollywood reports that the role will instead be played by Jesse L Martin, who is best known for playing Detective Ed Green on NBC television’s “Law & Order”.
“Sexual Healing” will focus on Marvin Gaye’s troubled final years. The movie is being directed by Julien Temple, whose past credits include “The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle” (1979), “Stones at the Max” (1991), “Glastonbury” (2006), “Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten” (2007), and “Ray Davies: Imaginary Man” (2010).
