“Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones” special screening

After the reissue of “Exile on Main Street” and the “Stones in Exile” documentary comes the news of a one night only theatrical release and later DVD and Blu-ray release of the band’s legendary concert film “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones.”
| “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones” features excellent footage from four shows of the Rolling Stones’ 1972 North American Tour. Filming took place at gigs in Fort Worth and Houston, Tx.
The film is littered with classic performances, including “Brown Sugar,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Tumbling Dice, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Midnight Rambler,” “Jumping Jack Flash” and “Street Fighting Man.” “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones” was released in 1974 and has never had a home video or DVD release. |

There has been a trend this year for one-night only theatrical releases of classic music films, including last month’s screening of “Elvis on Tour.” “Ladies and Gentlemen: The Rolling Stones” can be seen on September 16 at theatres across the US. In addition to the movie, the theatrical screening will include an interview with Mick Jagger recorded last year.
