Keith Richards hoping for Rolling Stones live return in 2012
Written by admin on June 20, 2012 – 8:29 pm -Keith Richards has said that the Rolling Stones will get together next month to decide their 50th anniversary plans and that ideally they will play at least one show by the end of the year.
Keith told Rolling Stone:
“I’d like to get a couple of shows down and see how it goes. It’s all very hush-hush. I’m going over to London for a bit, so I’ll find out more then.” |
The band will also decide on whether to cut some new material. Richards said:
“We’re going to talk about that in July and see. I mean, I’d love to get some tracks down and see what songs we’ve got. And that goes along with part of getting the band back together and getting things moving. So I’d love to cut some tracks, yeah.” |
Keith’s comments follow the recent rumour that the Rolling Stones will play Glastonbury in 2013 and then retire. Both claims have been denied by the band’s representatives.
