Keith Moon biopic in the works
Written by admin on November 11, 2013 – 5:19 pm -A Keith Moon biopic will be the first project developed under a new collaboration by Exclusive Media and Da Vinci Media Ventures.
The drummer’s bandmate, Roger Daltrey, is also on board for the project, and has said:
“The Keith Moon project is one close to my heart so I am excited to reinvigorate it.”
Moon died of an overdose in 1978. He is regarded as one of the finest rock drummers of all time, and a huge influence on the development of the Who’s hard rock style.
Wendy Rutland of Da Vinci Media Ventures says:
“I am a massive Who fan and consider Keith Moon to be the greatest rock drummer of all time. I could feel Roger’s passion and detailed perspective for this unique story after our first phone call.
We are excited to be topping up our deal with Exclusive, and look forward to growing the relationship.”
The movie is expected to be filmed in Europe. No screenwriter is on board yet.
