Jon Favreau to direct Jersey Boys movie
Written by admin on August 8, 2012 – 4:31 pm -Casting has begun for the lead roles in a film version of the hit stage musical “Jersey Boys”. The movie will be directed by Jon Favreau, whose previous directorial credits include “Iron Man,” “Cowboys & Aliens” and “Elf”.
“Jersey Boys” tells the story of the rise to fame of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The show debuted on Broadway in 2005 and won four Tony awards, including Best Musical. The show opened in London’s West End in 2008 and won the Olivier award for Best New Musical.
The screenplay for the “Jersey Boys” movie will be written by John Logan, whose previous credits include “The Aviator” and “Gladiator”.
Filming on “Jersey Boys” is expected to commence next year.
