Icon award for Blondie
Written by admin on April 16, 2010 – 8:19 pm -Blondie will receive the Icon Award at the “8th Annual TV Land Awards” on Saturday (April 17th.)
In addition to receiving the award, the band will also perform at the ceremony, which will be held on stage 15 of the Sony Studios Culver City lot. The show will be on TV Land on April 25 at 9:00 pm ET/PT. |
Blondie, led by Debbie Harry, have also announced an upcoming tour of the UK, with the first gig at the Forum in Hatfield on June 8.

The band is also playing the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday June 12 and the Rockness Festival on Sunday June 13.
This year’s Isle of Wight Festival is headlined by Jay-Z, The Strokes and Paul McCartney. Among the other artists due to perform are Doves, Florence and the Machine, Pink and Crowded House.
The Rockness Festival takes place in Dores, near Inverness. The headliners are The Strokes, Pendulum, Fatboy Slim and Leftfield.
New studio album
Blondie’s ninth studio album, “Panic of Girls,” is due for release in June. This is Blondies’ first studio album since “The Curse of Blondie” in 2003.
