Gregg Allman – “Low Country Blues”
Written by admin on November 3, 2010 – 8:17 pm -Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band will pay tribute to his blues roots with the release of “Low Country Blues” in January. This will be Allman’s first solo studio album since 1997’s “Searching for Simplicity.”

Burnett assembled a great band for the session, including himself and Doyle Bramhall II on guitars, Dennis Crouch on bass, Jay Bellerose on drums and Mac “Dr John” Rebennack on piano.
Allman has spoken enthusiastically about the “Low Country Blues” sessions:

Gregg Allman is commencing a tour with the The Allman Brothers Band on November 11. These will be Gregg’s first live performances since his successful liver transplant surgery in June. Ticket information is available here.
