Glastonbury 2011 line-up announced
Written by admin on April 14, 2011 – 7:31 pm -The full line-up of this summer’s three-day Glastonbury festival has been announced today. As expected, the headliners on the Pyramid stage are U2 (Fri, 24 June), Coldplay (Sat, 25 June) and BeyoncĂ© (Sun, 26 June). |
Joining the headliners will be over 300 live bands, DJs and other acts across twenty stages, tents and outdoor performances spaces. Among these are big name new acts, including Cee Lo Green, Plan B and Mumford & Sons, as well as veteran acts, such as Paul Simon, Morrisey, B.B. King and Kool & The Gang.
Paul Simon has slotted a Glastonbury appearance into the UK leg of his 2011 tour and will no doubt be playing tracks from his new CD “So Beautiful or So What?” when he appears on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday evening. The US leg of Simon’s tour kicks off tomorrow night in Seattle, WA.
Morrisey’s first Glastonbury appearance for seven years will take place on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, as warm-up for U2. B.B. King will take to the same stage earlier in the evening.
Kool & The Gang will headline the West Holts stage on Sunday evening.
