Farm Aid started as a benefit concert for family farmers on September 22, 1985, in Champaign, Illinois. The annual concerts have raised $37 million to support programs that help farmers thrive. In addition to Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, the line up for the “Farm Aid 25: Growing Hope for America” concert will include:
- Kenny Chesney
- Norah Jones
- Jason Mraz
- Jeff Tweedy
- Band of Horses
- The BoDeans
- Amos Lee
- Robert Francis.
Farm Aid is teaming up with Auction Cause to auction off unique Farm Aid memorabilia and Farm Aid 25 concert experiences. Beginning September 7, visit http://3.ly/farmaid to bid on concert experiences, and from October 2 visit again to bid on Farm Aid memorabilia from the past 25 years.
